O coproducție Teatrul Tony Bulandra – Asociația Teatrelor din Coreea
Argonautas este o revalorizare a expediției argonauților, cei 50 de eroi care l-au însoțit pe Iason și care, cu 50 de ani înainte de războiul Troiei, au plecat în căutarea Lânii de Aur. Este o metaforă pentru odiseea omului modern care pleacă în căutarea unui loc pe care să-l poată numi acasă și unde să se poată exprima liber, fără constrângeri sociale sau culturale.
Profitând de povestea lui Iason, încercăm să înțelegem ideea de călătorie, de migrație, a oamenilor vechi în căutare de glorie, de bogăție, dar și de sine… Ne întrebăm de ce pleacă românii, după ce au pus capăt dictaturii comuniste, de ce pleacă sirienii sau negrii din Africa, de ce pleacă mexicanii, bolivienii sau chinezii…
Spectacolul are elemente de teatru-dans, teatru-imagine, dar mai ales se încearcă o sugerare a incantației antice prin texte rostite magic în două limbi, se încearcă o ritualizare a actului teatral, acolo unde muzica, gestul și cuvântul se întâlnesc.

Argonautas – Intenții de planificare
„Argonautas” este prima colaborare între Asociația Teatrului Coreean și actorii de la Teatrul Tony Bulandra din România. Producția va avea premiera în cadrul Festivalului România Babel și va fi jucată și în Insula Jeju, Coreea de Sud. Colaborarea dintre artiști de teatru din două culturi și medii artistice diferite va contribui la competitivitatea internațională a teatrului coreean și românesc, atingând publicul dincolo de liniile etnice, naționale și generaționale.
Teatrul coreean și cel românesc au propria lor estetică unică. În procesul de colaborare, artiști din culturi și sensibilități estetice diferite vor învăța reciproc limbajul și tehnicile artistice, dobândind noi cunoștințe și experiențe. Diferitele experiențe și coliziuni artistice care pot fi dobândite într-un astfel de mediu dinamic vor oferi artiștilor locali posibilitatea de a crea lucrări artistice într-un mod nou, iar publicului o mai bună înțelegere și experiență a diferitelor culturi și arte.
În cele din urmă, aș dori să-mi exprim cea mai profundă recunoștință actorilor și personalului care au participat la acest spectacol colaborativ pentru munca și entuziasmul lor și sper că spectacolul „Argonautas” va fi ținut minte ca o excelentă operă de artă care va rămâne în urmă în viitorul îndepărtat.

A CO-PRODUCTION TONY BULANDRA THEATER – KOREA THEATRE ASSOCIATION
Argonautas sheds a new light on the Argonauts’ expedition, the fifty héroes that accompanied Jason in the quest for the Golen Fleece, 50 years before the Trojan war. It is a metaphor for modern man’s odessey in the quest for a place to be called home, where the freedom of expression is guaranteed, without social or cultural constraints.
We are using Jason’s story in order to understand the ideas of voyage and migration of old people in the quest of glory, riches, and the inner self… We are wondering why the Romanians keep leaving even after they put an end to the communist dictatorship. Why do the Sirians, the Africans, the Mexicans, the Bolivians or the Chinese keep leaving their countries?
This production contains elements of dance theater, image theater, but we have mostly focused on a suggested ancient chant through the text uttered in two languages, to the purpose of generating a ritualisation of the theater act, in that realm where the music, the gesture and the spoken word can meet.

Argonautas – Planning Intent
Argonautas is the first collaboration between the Korean Theater Association and actors from the Tony Bul andra Theater in Romania. The production will premiere at the Romania Babel Festival and will also be performed in Jeju Island, South Korea. The collaborative work of theater artists from two different cultures and artistic backgrounds will contribute to the international competitiveness of Korean and Romanian theater by reaching out to audiences across ethnic, national, and generational lines.
Korean and Romanian theater have their own unique aesthetics. In the process of working together, artists from different cultures and aesthetic sensibilities will learn each other’s artistic language and techniques, gaining new knowledge and experience. The different experiences and artistic collisions that can be gained in such a dynamic environment will provide local artists with the possibility of creating artistic works in a new way, and audiences with a better understanding and experience of various cultures and arts.
Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the actors and staff who participated in this collaborative performance for their hard work and enthusiasm, and hope that the performance of will be remembered as an excellent work of art that will be left behind in the distant future.
